Tuesday morning, it was just me, my kids, my little sister and my mom (my oldest sis, her fam, my dad, and brother had gone to Disneyland that day...and my other sister and her fam had gone to San Jose to look for housing). It was a nice quiet morning and my kids watched some tv and Spidey flipped through the hymn book {seriously, he loves doing that}.

Carlsbad: Part 3
On Monday, we headed to the beach in the morning {again}.
This time, my oldest sis and her family joined us.
The little kiddies enjoyed standing in the water and then running away when big waves would come. And yes, my kids had floaties on. There were more kids to pay attention to and I felt safer having them wear floaties.
Then, that afternoon, my kids and I took a 1.5 mile walk to a park. Petey LOVES these rocking animals whenever we go to the park.
Handsome Spidey, ready to head down the slide.

My mom and I were trying to figure out what fun things to do when we noticed that Spidey had fallen asleep at 8:45am on the couch. Weird boy.
We decided it would be fun to head to San Diego on the train so we headed there to get tickets.
The next train didnt arrive for 2 hours so we walked around Carlsbad Village and found a yogurt shop. Of course, Petey was rying because she always eats hers too fast and ends up with brain freeze. Poor girl.
And then we were off! PS: My little sis didnt get hurt...it's just faster to push her in a wheelchair. :)
Petey fell asleep on the train (it was such a weird "sleep" day for my kids).
Of course, our first stop in Seaport Village was Del Sol. My mom LOVES that store. Spidey is pointing to it for you in the picture. :)
Then, we stopped for cookies at a yummy little place we love. Mmmmm.
My mom took a picture of me and the kids and it didnt turn out half bad!

Carlsbad: Part 2
Saturday, we started the morning with a little frisbee in the courtyard.
K Bear (and every other 20 month old baby) does not like sharing and didnt want to give the frisbee to Spidey.
Jp "helped" him share and K Bear was angry. I love that Spidey looks unsure. Since a lot of times he is the one taking things from K Bear, I think he thought he'd get in trouble for having the frisbee.
Wilbur Force and Jp throwing the frisbee around.
Run, Petey, run!
That morning, we headed to the beach. Jp was making small sand castles and letting the kids jump on them.
K Bear.
Cute kiddos, digging in the sand.
Jp started to dig a huge hole for the kids to play in.
Spidey kept trying to run past me and go straight for the water.
Jp's HUGE hole. He actually dug a tunnel between two holes but Petey smashed the middle and made it one big hole.
Im sorry, but this picture makes me laugh every time. I was setting the kids up to take a picture of them sitting by the water and right as I pushed the button, a huge wave came from behind and crash on top of them. Poor kiddos.
Spidey was afraid of the water after that for a while. Poor little guy.
My little sister, Candace, loved the feeling of rubbing sand all over her legs. She LOVES water and was in heaven here. (scary story about her later)
The kids all wrapped up and ready to walk the one block back to the condo.
Wilbur Force and Petey having lunch on the patio.
Later that afternoon, all the girls took a trip the store for some groceries (and a dress for church because I forgot to pack one). We thought this cart was pretty cool. It fit children-adults up to 200lbs.
Cute Petey, taking care of her baby doll.
That night, Jamie and Sam and their boys showed up! George and Petey ate dinner on the back porch. (that's how Petey smiles with food in her mouth...attractive)
We found out Saturday afternoon that my Grandma had a stroke and passed away. Ill give that a post in itself later.
Sammy, mouth full of food.
The next day, we went to church as a family. After church, we were playing outside with the frisbee when my mom and Candace walked past to put some laundry in the community washer. A few minutes later, my mom ran outside and said that Candace hadnt followed her and she was hoping she'd stayed with us but we hadnt seen where she'd gone either. We immediately rushed the kids back into the condo and Jamie stayed with them while the rest of us started searching.
The first place I ran towards was the beach. Remember how I said Candace LOVES water? We had walked the pathway to the beach and I thought she would've remembered it and gone there. With no luck, I headed back to the condo and we started knocking on people's doors, seeing if she'd gone inside. My dad called the police after about 45 minutes and they had helicopters searching the beach and other policeman patroling the area. After well over an hour, my mom got a call from my dad saying he'd found her in a condo on the second floor. He had noticed the door was slightly ajar and when nobody answered, he just walked in and Candace was right there.
It was such a huge blessing that she wasnt hurt and we are so thankful that our prayers were heard. It sure gave us a good scare.
After all the excitement, we sat down and watched a movie together. Jamie picked a movie on Netflix from our childhood called Water Babies. Hello, creepy! Neither of us remembered it being so weird but I dont think any of the kids liked it.
After that, we all had ice cream cones out in the courtyard. George and Petey are best friends and I love it! They are always next to each other and wanting to do things together.

Carlsbad: Part 1
Well, I figured since I have almost 300 pictures from the last week, I should start posting some of our fabulous trip.
So anyway, we went to Carlsbad to stay at my parent's beach house. My dad drove me and my kids up there last Friday and Boss joined us the next Wednesday.
My kids were cheery when we pulled out of the driveway and kept up the good attitudes for he first half of the trip.
We drove the "scenic route", thanks to my crazy dad, and stopped to take some pictures at the top of the windy road we had just endured. Unfortunatly, about 5 minutes after making it to the top of that mountain, my happy little girl started throwing up all over the car {granted, this was also about 45 min after lunch}. I had completely forgotten that she tends to get car sick on trips.
We pulled over, stripped her down, and cleaned everything up as best we could but she was not a happy camper after that.
Fortunatly, she fell asleep and stayed asleep for almost the entire rets of the drive to Carlsbad.
The first thing we did when we arrived in Carlsbad was head to the beach! It was a beautiful day and we didn't want to miss out.
Spidey was a little confused but happy about a place covered in sand and/or water.
And if you're a follower of my private family blog and am wondering why I'm posting this over here {and my last post on that blog was about my wisdom teeth}, I am considering just having one blog but keeping it public and keeping my children's names and some of our other information more private. Hence, the family vacation being posted here!

And so was Petey. My kids LOVE these and dont get to have them often (they are mainly water drinkers).
Stay tuned for Part 2 of our trip! (I'm not quite sure how many parts there will be but bear with me).
And that's how Suze sees it.

Favorites from the Week
We have returned home from our week long trip! I have so much to talk about and so little time so I thought I'd tease you with a few of my favorite pictures from the trip. My Grandma's funeral is in the morning and I am off to bed! I promise to be back soon with more than just a bunch of random (but seriously cute) pictures.
